A (Tuscan) Country Life Recipe Page

Here is my very first 6×6 recipe page for an exchange.  Each of us makes 10 pages of our selected recipe in each of six categories.  At the end of the exchange, each of us will have a 60 page recipe book – and the list of recipes is pretty darn amazing – here’s hoping that mine will be well received for both Cricut skill and the provided recipe.  First up is appetizers.  You can see Diane’s delightful Stuffed Mushroom page here:   http://horsebunny.blogspot.com/2012/01/stuffed-mushrooms-recipe-card.html

I used Country Life, Serenade, Luau, and Mother’s Day Bouquet to make my page.

The cook and the sunset in the back of the scene are from Country Life.  In order to turn the “sunrise” into a sunset, I simply omitted the first layer in the cut and punched a large circle.  To make the setting sun more dimensional, I shaded the circle with Copics and of course added the Glossy Accents.

The tomato plant is from Serenade and it is a fern branch.  The tomatoes are from my Crop A Dile (the smallest punch).  I think the flowerpot is from Serenade  and it is colored with Copics too.

The party lanterns are from Luau and have a vellum layer to simulate a “glow.”

The cypress tree is from Mother’s Day bouquet – it’s a leaf made long and skinny courtesy of the Cricut Craft Room.  The trunk is simply colored with a Copic pen.

The sunflower is from Mother’s Day too – I think.  I colored in the center of the flower as the size was relatively small.

The platter is a modified circle from Cricut Craft Room and the three tartlets are from my Crop a Dile  as well.

I will be supplying the recipe separately so my fellow exchangers can either attach it to the back of the page or leave it unattached for easy access from the page protector.

It may be time to invest in the pop-dot market as there are nine more to assemble; however, the cutting is complete!
